Miura Beach spreading along the coastline of Miura City is a popular bathing resort in Kanagawa Pref. Hundreds of thousands of people visit this curved sand beach with a total length of one kilometer from Tsukuihama to Minami Shimoura to enjoy bathing in one of the most expansive ocean in Kanto Region. As the beach is about 3 minutes’ walk from the station and the sea is shallow to a considerable distance from the shore, families with children can comfortably spend their holidays. Miura Beach Noryo Festival Fireworks Show is held in early August every year, and as many as 300 fireworks are displayed at night.
